  18. installation:
  19. Step 1) untar/bzip WINE, and manually apply patch to wine/server/sock.c:
  20. Step 2) tar/bzip WINE, move it to its SlackBuilds directory, and run the build script
  21. Step 3) install the WINE slackbuild package found in /tmp/
  22. Step 4) untar/gzip pvpgn, make the build directory, and edit the cmake config to
  23. Step 6) edit the following path/etc/pvpgn/bnetd.conf settings appropriately:
  24. storage_path = 'sql:mode=mysql;host=hostname;name=user;pass=pass;default=0;prefix=pvpgn_'
  25. servername = 'diablo 2'
  26. Step 7) add a realm to path/etc/pvpgn/realm.conf with your IP for d2cs:
  27. Step 8) edit the following path/etc/pvpgn/d2cs.conf settings appropriately:
  28. servaddrs = yourip:6113
  29. bnetdaddr = yourip:6112
  30. Step 9) edit the following path/etc/pvpgn/d2dbs.conf settings appropriately:
  31. gameservlist = yourip
  32. Step 10) unrar D2GS to the same directory as your Diablo 2 assets
  33. Step 11) run wine regedit, import d2gs.reg, and edit the following keys under
  34. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/D2Server/D2GS:
  35. D2DBSIP = yourip
  36. EnableNTMode = 0 (optional, runs D2GS.exe as Windows service)
  37. MaxGames = 100 (*defaults to 1 so remember to change this!)
  38. Step 12) create SQL db and grant privileges (db and user info from Step 6)
  39. Step 13) start the daemons
  40. in the following order (check logs):
  41. *in Windows you may need to allow firewall access per app on first run.
  42. **the linux user running bnetd/d2cs/d2dbs needs r/w permissions to the
  43. b) d2cs
  44. d) wine D2GS.exe
  45. Step 666) run Diablo 2 client and join the modified gateway to kill Diablo

Here it is. A brand new D2 Private Server. A much more reliable server than US-west or any other realm.
Setup Guide:
1. You need Diablo 2 1.09D version to play on our server. 1.10 doesn't work.

Note: If you have version you must either reinstall diablo or rename your d2 1.10 directory to something different. (goto bottom for directions on that.)
2. Now if you have 1.09D you need to download Bnet Gateway Editor.

3. Now that you have the Bnet Gateway Editor, open it.
4. Press 'Add Server'and a little window should popup that has three boxes in this order:
Server Name : Avalanche
Host Name : 24.81.185.141
Time Zone : Whatever you like.. (eg. 8)
Don't forget to save it.
5. Now that you have 1.09D and have our server in your server list you need to download our patch (mpq file) and put it in your d2 directory. Backup the old one.

1. Change D2 1.10 directory name to something other than 'Diablo II'.
2. Put in your diablo 2 install disc and install Diablo.
3. Upgrade the new installed diablo 2 1.09D with the provided link at the top of the page.
